NOBODY CARES
Book Design | Photography | Commentary
NOBODY CARES is a short photographic essay which shows our collective indifference to unhoused people. During the summer of 2022, I had an internship in downtown Los Angeles. My walk to the office had many unhoused people along the way, many of which were clearly battling mental health problems. What was disturbing was not the unhoused people, but the other commuters who tried to ignore their existence. Disturbed by this, I started to photograph Angelenos actively ignoring unhoused people. The best photographs were compiled into this book and was self-published on Amazon. A portion of the proceeds from this book will go to local Los Angeles homeless agencies.
