ERR FONT
Font Design | Typography | Visual Identity
Err is a modular font that comes in three weights. The design behind err was inspired by early computing in the twentieth century and the limitations to graphics during this time. The name "err" comes from philosophies of computing from this era. Early computing was fascinating to many because of the discovery that a machine cannot make an error. If to err is to human, than what is to machine? In a world of increasing tech and AI presence, this concept of how only humans can make errors is much more unsettling when engineers were discussing the same concepts in the 1960s. Err is a nod not only to early computing, but the unsettling connection between humanity and machine. This font can also be purchased on my Etsy store by clicking here. Special thanks to Jamal Abdullahi for programming my design into a working font.
